    I was just in time for my interview and I was very nervous. I walked up to the receptionist. She was talking into a headset and typing on her keyboard. 我剛好趕上了面試的時間，我有點緊張。我走到前臺。前臺的女士正在一邊用耳機通話一邊打著鍵盤。

    David: Good morning. I'm David Laso. I have an appointment with Dale Mendoza at 10 o'clock. Could you please let her know that I'm here? 男：早上好，我是戴維拉索。我與戴爾門多索女士十點約了一個會。請通知她我已經(jīng)來了 Receptionist: Please have a seat and I'll tell her. 女：您請坐一會，我馬上通知她 About three minutes later, a man came out of the office and approached me. He introduced himself as Ben, Ms. Mendoza's administrative assistant. He told me he would show me to her office. 大約三分鐘后，一位男士從辦公區(qū)走向我。他介紹自己叫本，是門多索女士的行政助理。他告訴我他會帶我去門多索的辦公室。 I followed him and we stopped in front of an office door with a placard on the door with the name "Dale Mendoza" and her title "Vice President" written on it. Ben knocked on the door and opened it. By this time, I was feeling more confident and was actually looking forward to the interview. 我跟隨著他走到一個辦公室的門前，看到上面有一個門牌上寫著　戴爾門多索，職位是副總裁。本敲了一下門然后打開了它。這時我感覺很自信了，并且對這個面試有種期待的感覺。 Then, I saw Dale Mendoza. She was the same woman who was in the elevator on my way up. I had been so nervous that I just couldn't stop talking. I had told her how nervous I was about this interview. I had even told her about my nightmare with a three-headed monster interviewing me for a job. And now, here she was, my potential new boss. 這時，我看到了門多索女士。她就是我坐電梯上來時碰到的女人。當(dāng)時我因為太緊張而不由自主地跟她說過很多話。我告訴過她我對即將到來的面試感覺緊張。我還告訴過她我做了惡夢，夢中有個三頭怪物面試我。而現(xiàn)在，竟然是她，我潛在的新老板。 Dale: Hello, you must be David. It's nice to meet you. 女：你好，你一定是戴維吧，見到你很高興。 There was a frog in my throat. My heart was beating a mile a minute. 當(dāng)時我不知道說什么好，我的心因為緊張而呯呯亂跳。 David: It's nice to meet you, too. 男：見到您很高興。 Dale: Have a seat and make yourself comfortable. You see? I only have one head and I don't even bite. 女：請隨便坐吧。你看，我只有一個頭而且不咬人，對嗎 Needless to say, that was not my best interview. But, you live and learn. I'll know next time to keep my mouth shut! 不用說，這肯定不會是我最成功的面試。不過吃一塹長一智，我知道了下回我要學(xué)會該閉嘴的時候閉上嘴巴。
