LADY: Do you have any shoes
like these?
SHOP ASSISTANT: What size?

What color?
LADY: Black.
SHOP ASSISTANT: I'm sorry.
We don't have any.
LADY: But my sister bought
this pair last month.
SHOP ASSISTANT: Did she buy them here?
LADY: No, she bought them
in the U.S.
SHOP ASSISTANT: We had some shoes like
those a month ago,
but we don't have any
now.
LADY: Can you get a pair for

SHOP ASSISTANT: I'm afraid that I can't.
They were in fashion

before last.
But they're not in

uncomfortable.

這個(gè)句子里的 like these是介詞短語作定語，修飾 shoes，意思是“像這樣的鞋子”。
2． What size? 什么尺碼的？
這是一個(gè)省略句，后面省略了 do you want。下文中的 What colour? 同樣也是省略句。 what size通常用來詢問服裝、鞋子、手套等的尺寸，即什么號碼：
What size do you wear?
你穿幾碼的？
3．They are very uncomfortable.的確很不舒適。
這個(gè)句子中的are用斜體表示強(qiáng)調(diào)，應(yīng)重讀。這里的強(qiáng)調(diào)表明了售貨員對女士所說的話的反感和憤怒。一般過去時(shí)與時(shí)間短語

2．uncomfortable adj.
（1）不舒服的：
She feels uncomfortable in tight boots.
她穿著緊的長統(tǒng)靴感到不舒服。
（2）不安的；不自在的：
You'll have an uncomfortable feeling if you sit there alone.
如果你獨(dú)自一人坐在那兒，你會(huì)有種不安的感覺。
He often feels uncomfortable with strangers.
與陌生人在一起他通常感到不自在。
（3）令人不舒服的，不舒適的：
This pair of shoes look very uncomfortable.
這雙鞋看上去很不舒適。
