Temple
In my hometown,there's a famous temple,which dates back to 15th century.Even though it's a holy place,it is located on the busiest street of my hometown.But from the moment you enter the temple,you feel calm and peaceful.
The temple,like many other chinese structures,faces south and the front gate is guarded by two stone lions.Entering the front hall,you'll see 4 huge sculptures made of wood,two on each side.They are the Four Heavenly King The Greate Hall is separated from the front hall with a courtyard.There are lots of trees in the courtyard,which makes the yard very pleasant.
The Greate Hall stands on a set of plinth and its roof is supported by
enormous pillars.The main altar can be found there.You'll see a Buddha seated between two of his students.On the east and west sides of the wall of this Great Hall,you will see a variety of statues and paintings.
