    大家常說“美夢成真”，認(rèn)為夢有某種預(yù)示未來的魔力。更有甚者，周公解夢，通過夢來預(yù)測吉兇。但是，科學(xué)證明，夢是沒有預(yù)測未來的能力的，只是我們在不覺中做過很多夢，而現(xiàn)實生活中的一些事恰巧與這些夢吻合罷了。
    Lots of people have had dreams that seem to foretell the future. Some psychologists attribute this to “retrieval cues.”
    很多人都曾做過似乎能預(yù)示未來的夢。一些心理學(xué)家把這種現(xiàn)象歸因于“復(fù)得線索”。
    "Retrieval cues?"
    “復(fù)得線索？”
    A retrieval cue is a coincidence in the real world that triggers a dream memory which otherwise would have gone unnoticed.
    所謂的復(fù)得線索是指，發(fā)生在現(xiàn)實生活中的一些事恰巧觸發(fā)了夢中的記憶，而這些夢中的記憶若不被觸發(fā)，則會被人在不覺中拋進遺忘的角落。
    For example, did you know you dreamed about a little dog before the real dog showed up?
    比如，在見到現(xiàn)實中的一條小狗之前，你知道你曾夢到過它嗎？
    Oh, yes, I was thinking about it all morning.
    能啊，我整個早上都在想著它。
    Really?
    真是這樣的嗎？
    Well, I think so.

    Maybe, or maybe the real event triggered a recollection of a dream, which not seems like it must have been in your thoughts all along. By the way, did you have any other dreams last night that didn't come true?

    Hmm, I don't remember what other else I dreamed.

    Why not? Some studies suggest we have literally hundreds of dreams each night.

    Ok, I get the point. Maybe this dreaming the future stuff is more like picking and choosing dreams when they happen to fit.

    Coincidences are bound to come up. And if the coincidence acts as retrieval cue, the sense that you predicted something can be pretty convincing… even if it’s just a dream.
    肯定會有恰合發(fā)生的。如果這些巧合充當(dāng)了“復(fù)得線索”，那覺得自己預(yù)測中了什么事就顯得十分合情合理了，即使你只做了個夢。
