大眾汽車公司由阿道夫•*創(chuàng)立于1937年，是德國的汽車生產(chǎn)集團，汽車產(chǎn)量居世界排名第五位。大眾集團包括有在德國本土的大眾汽車公司和奧迪公司以及設在美國、墨西哥、巴西、阿根廷、南非等7個子公司。由于大眾車型滿足不了美國人對大空間的需要，導致銷路不暢，因此到后來撤銷了在美的子公司，連設備一并賣給中國第一汽車制造廠繼續(xù)生產(chǎn)高爾夫捷達。使大眾公司揚名的產(chǎn)品是"甲殼蟲"轎車(由波爾舍設計)，該車在80年代初就已生產(chǎn)了2000萬輛。啟動了大眾公司的第一班高速列車，緊隨其后的POLO、高爾夫、奧迪、帕薩特、桑塔納等也暢銷全世界。

2008年7月24日，歐盟正式?jīng)Q定，批準德國保時捷汽車控股股份公司收購德國大眾汽車集團。如果收購成功，合并公司將成為歐洲第一、世界前三的汽車企業(yè).

- Audi（奧迪）- 在1964年從戴姆勒-奔馳公司買下。
- NSU - 由大眾的奧迪分部在1969年買下，自1977年開始就未再使用該品牌。
- SEAT - 1987年開始成為主要持有者。
- Škoda - 1991年買下。
- Bentley（賓利） - 于1998年從Vickers公司與Rolls-Royce品牌同時買下，但之后由于注冊商標權轉(zhuǎn)移至BMW公司，因此無法再使用Rolls-Royce品牌制造車輛。

- Administrative support to the team on other ad hoc tasks
