Asking questions is the ability a student should have. First, studying is students’ work.Asking questions can help students learn more effectively and impressively. Second,finding questions is a method for selflearning, which is important for students in theirfurther days. Because, when we went to society, we need to learn all the skills andknowledge by ourselves. Finally, asking questions and answering questions is aprocess which can build our friendships, and enhance our communication. Like me, Ialways make friends when I ask them questions.
2、buying item on internet, magazine 還是shopping at store
I am so crazy about shopping on line. There are several reasons. First,
online-shopping releases my time for travelling. Usually, it would cost me nearly onehour, when I decided to go to malls. Online-shopping helps me reduce this time.Second, online goods always much cheaper than that in stores. It is a good way tosave money. Finally, I can find all the things I love, nomatter it is from China, orAmerica. It is the first convenient aspect for online-shopping.
3. 說學(xué)校有一則關(guān)于increase recreation center fees的通知，提高娛樂中心的收費一年$25，多收的費用用于update facility 和購買新的設(shè)備。男女學(xué)生對話，男學(xué)生對這則notice持支持的態(tài)度：1、他認為這個recreation center雖然使用很少，那是因為facilities 很old，有些broken-down，如果設(shè)備更新的話肯定有很多人來有了這筆錢，就可以對這些設(shè)施進行改善。第二點，女學(xué)生說平時 recreationcenter很空，男學(xué)生則說，這樣可以使使用 recreation center的學(xué)生更有效率（貌似是啊，這點大家可以再仔細聽聽），2、25美金不是大花費，只要少買幾張CD或者少看一場音樂會就好了，因此他認為學(xué)生應(yīng)該出這筆錢。

5. 一個女學(xué)生說她的course time schedule 和teaching assignment沖突。她這學(xué)期選了一門Chinese history的課，是一個很有名的Visitor scholar教的，如果她這次不聽的話那以后可能沒有機會再聽到這位教授的講座。因為他不會去中國，所以她不想錯過。但是由于她專業(yè)是 education,所以她必須有要做teaching
assignment,。這個assignment她有兩個選擇，教senior student 和kids,分別在兩天.那么她本來可以選擇其中一天去做，也就是沒有Chinese課的這天。但是剛好這天是教kids, 她本來畢業(yè)后就想去教年紀(jì)大的學(xué)生，對career更有利，所以她偏向于教senior。解決方法：1、中文課下學(xué)期再選；但是她很喜歡那個教授，對中文也分感興趣；2、換個教學(xué)時間，去教年紀(jì)大一點的學(xué)生

在unconscious stage 人們通常認為自己已經(jīng)完全學(xué)會了這項技能 所以不再聚精會神，常常一心兩用 所以他打字慢慢變快而且常常邊打字便和寢室同學(xué)對話 但是這樣做的結(jié)果就是他在打字的時候犯的錯誤也便多了

教授舉例 他大學(xué)時有很多學(xué)藝術(shù)的朋友，都很cool and creative, 穿T-shirt，jeans之類的很casual的衣服，他也這樣
后來去芝加哥工作，co-workers 穿的很classical nice formal，pants,nice shoes什么的。 于是他也開始穿正式的服裝
人們會自發(fā)地模仿他們崇拜的人
The professor uses his own example to explain that: when he went to university, hisfriends who were older, creative and liked to wear T-shirt.
He thought that's cool. So he also wears T-shirt. But when he graduated and go toChicago, his colleagues like formal dress, such as the women will wear xx shoes.Then he imitated.
Reference group, which mean we are influence by those whom we admire and whosebehaviors and attitude we tend to imitate. When the professor began university life, he found arts major students cool, they wear T-shirts, jeans and sneakers. the professorwants to fit into the group, so he dressed like them. 5、BUS SCHEDULE 改變了
討論問題，男的說學(xué)校的bus schedule改了，變早了，他不能去工作的地方了，因為要上課!
說了2個解決方法：
1）找boss 說服boss改工作時間，可以在晚上上班，但是這樣就耽誤了第二天的課，會很累。
2）騎自行車上班，只要15分鐘，但是可能會遇到下雨的天氣什么什么的。The man takes school bus to the place where he works. But Now the schedule of thebus is changed, 變得earlier. But at that time he has a chemical class.
two solution(都是男生說的):
1）his boss agree him change the time of working 好像是下午和晚上 (但這樣他會tired and 影響morning class)
2）ride bike to work 還可以鍛煉身體而且只有15分鐘 但是這樣不方便(好象是說放bike 不方便吧 沒寫下來)bus schedule changed, so if the man go to work aftertaking the chemistry class, he will be late. he comes up with 2 solutions:
1）talk to the boss and ask him to change the work time. in the way, he catch the busand work at night. but he will be tired, because he has to take class the next morning.2）ride bike
沒聽清是去上課還是上班. in this way, he can exercise. but he sometimes meets badweather.兩個方案：一是他和老板商量了一下，可以把工作時間延后，但這樣他就要mid-night下班，他累了。而且他第二天還有課。二是他可以騎車去，并不遠，大概要花15分鐘的時間在路上。但這樣一來，天氣不好的時候會很不舒服。Model:

6、食草動物怎么吸取營養(yǎng)的問題？說了一個什么N的植物（問題中有這個詞），是靠吃昆蟲吸取營養(yǎng)的，有兩個way, 一種active 一種passitive!
兩種各舉了一個例子（問題中也有），問的貌似就是這兩種植物怎么Illustrate N植物吸取營養(yǎng)的兩種WAY 的。記得不是很清楚了，反正第一種就是先吧蟲蟲吸引過來，然后突然合上葉子了，另一個貌似是分泌一種glue，把蟲蟲粘上about some plants get nutrition from insects
1）attractive trap: 以Venus 為例 說它有像mouth的東西 還說sharp
2）不記得是什么trap了:以sundew為例 說它可以glue insects
Two ways carnivorous plants trap insects.
1）Active trap. V植物has moving parts and sweet nectars which attract insects.Initially, leaves are open, but when insects approach, leaves will close. in this way, theplant can trap the insects and absorb nutrients.
2）Passive trap. T植物also has sweet nectars, but doesn't have moving parts. it hashairs which can produce sticky chemicals like glue. in this ways, insects get stuck5有種植物要通過捕食昆蟲來給自身提供營養(yǎng)。因為泥土中的營養(yǎng)不夠。然后介紹了兩類捕食方法。

Second, if I prepare first, I can have time to cope with the emergency. For example, Ionce wrote an essay for my history class with my laptop, but my laptop just brokewhen I was about to finish that paper. So I had to rewrite that essay, and it wasfrustrating.

關(guān)于學(xué)校要求新生參加學(xué)習(xí)小組的通知，學(xué)校認為這樣做有兩個好處：1）幫助學(xué)生掌握學(xué)習(xí)技巧
2）讓學(xué)生結(jié)交新的朋友

1）很多學(xué)生已經(jīng)知道怎么樣學(xué)習(xí)，這樣做會浪費時間

In the dialogue, the woman disagrees with reading passage which states that theuniversity requires the new students to participate in the study discussion group. Shestates two reasons for her idea.
First, she thinks that many of the new students have already learned some learningskills, so it would be waste of time for them to take part in the discussion group.Second, she thinks that the students will become friends finally because they study in the same class. 4動物都有maintain自己的方法，有的時候保持同一個size防止外部威脅,有的時候adjust size獲取資源，然后聽力里給了大猩猩的例子，他們晚上睡覺的時候都是100個左右在一起，規(guī)模基本很穩(wěn)定，防止別的動物攻擊，但是白天覓食的時候會分成小規(guī)模去不同的地方。
5男生因為搬家傷了后背，所以想換個工作，原來是在書店搬運重物到書架?，F(xiàn)在有兩個選擇，一個是繼續(xù)留在書店，當(dāng)收銀員，但是會合他的study meeting時間上有沖突，另一個選擇是去cafeteria洗盤子，但是錢少。
The man has a problem that he wants to change another job because he hurt his backwhen working in the book store. There are two solutions for him.
First, he can still work in the shop but play as an receptionist there. Second, he canfind a job in a cafeteria and wash the dishes there.
Personally, I prefer the first one. I think he has already hurt his back, so it would getworse if he washes dishes which is very exhausting. Besides, I think he can talk to theboss about his working schedule so that he can avoid the time conflict with his studymeeting.
6、社會的穩(wěn)定性有兩種形式形成，一是人們從事同一個種類的工作，這樣大家有共同的作息時間，共同的關(guān)注點等；另一個是從事不同種類的工作，做出不同的貢獻，人們相互依賴，從而形成穩(wěn)定性。
In the lecture, the professor talks about the two forms in which the society keepsstable.
The first form he introduces is that people in a society can do the same kind of job. Bydoing so, they can share the same working schedule and share the same interest at thesame time.
The second for he introduces is that people can do the different kinds of job. By doingso, people can rely on each other because they make different contributions to thesociety.

I once met a problem that I was not sure about which major I should took in collegewhen I graduated from high school. My father introduced me one of this studentsmajored in physics and we talked about for a while. He just cited his story when hewas in high school with the same problem as I have. He told me that the interest is themost important factor when choosing a major. The major you will choose means thata few years, like 4 years, or even more will be spend on that. If you were not
interested in that, you would be suffering a lot. I thought about what said and found itis right. So finally, I just took his advice and choose Chinese literature, which I aminterested in as my major in college. The professor uses his own story to illustrate the concept of the negative ideation.He is obsessed to chocolate bar but he knows it is bad for his healthy. In order to solvethe problem, he just came up an idea that he tried to think the chocolate bar is made ofmud. By doing so, he just reduces the temptation to the chocolate bar because eachtime he wanted to eat it; he just thinks it as mud.
