很多次當(dāng)我看見(jiàn)native speaker的美文時(shí)，都忍不住在欣賞的同時(shí)暗暗揣摩他們的構(gòu)思、文法和譴詞造句的功底，譬如J.K Rowling筆下的人物一個(gè)個(gè)都如此栩栩如生，她用詞千變?nèi)f化，引人入勝。那么，是不是我們就無(wú)法達(dá)到這樣的境界呢？答案當(dāng)然是否定的拉！我曾看過(guò)一篇某高校非英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)生的文章，文筆和意境都讓我自嘆不如，汗。。。 所以只要下了工夫，用心鉆研，一定是會(huì)有回報(bào)的哦！我相信通過(guò)日積月累的不斷學(xué)習(xí)，大家都能用英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)出讓老外驚羨的漂亮文章?。?BR>    我的寫(xiě)作老師曾大力推薦過(guò)我現(xiàn)在所參考和使用的這本寫(xiě)作書(shū)，那么就讓我們從最簡(jiǎn)單的開(kāi)始，共同學(xué)習(xí)北外前輩們的智慧成果吧：

    3.簡(jiǎn)潔
    句中不應(yīng)有任何不必要的詞。只要意思充分地表達(dá)了，用的詞越少越好。用詞過(guò)多只會(huì)使意思模糊，而不是更清晰。所以在寫(xiě)完一篇文章后，仔細(xì)檢查一兩遍，刪去一些不必要的詞。試比較：
    Wordy: It was blue in color.
    It was small in size.
    Mary is a quiet and careful woman.
    He returned in the early part of the month of August.
    Concise: It was blue.
    It was small.
    Mary is quiet and careful.
    He returned in the early August.
    重復(fù)有時(shí)可加重語(yǔ)氣，但不必要的重復(fù)，不管是重復(fù)相同的詞或是重復(fù)相同意思的不同的詞都應(yīng)該避免。
    Wordy: He gave many reasons for the failure, but the reasons he gave were not convincing.
    Concise: He gave many reasons for the failure, but none of them were convincing.
    有時(shí)為了簡(jiǎn)潔起見(jiàn)，需要改變句子結(jié)構(gòu)：
    Wordy: There was a pine tree that stood like a giant on the top of the mountain. It towered over the trees around it.
    Concise: The pine tree on the top of the mountain stood like a giant and towered over the trees around it.
    The giant pine tree on the top of the mountain towered over the trees around it.
    以上例子證明有時(shí)從句可以壓縮為短語(yǔ)，短語(yǔ)可以壓縮為單詞而不改變?cè)瓉?lái)的意思。也證明兩個(gè)句子有時(shí)可以合并，把表達(dá)次要意思的句子改為分詞短語(yǔ)、定語(yǔ)從句或別的形式。
