Management Trainee Programme
Incorporated in May 2007, Hang Seng Bank (China) Limited (“Hang Seng China”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong. Hang Seng China has a network of ten branches (in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Tianjin) and 22 sub-branches (two in Beijing, nine in Shanghai, five in Guangzhou, four in Shenzhen, one in Nanjing and one in Dongguan). Three streams of specialization are incorporated in the Programme:
Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking offers a range of business banking services to meet our corporate clients’ day-to-day financial needs. Services include:
Trade financing
Deposit and remittance services
Credit investigation and consultancy services
Short, medium and long-term loans
Project financing
Working capital financing
Construction, syndicated and entrusted loans
Mortgage financing
Personal Financial Services provides a wide range of personal wealth management and financial services to meet individual customer needs. Services include:
Investment services
Mortgage loan services
Insurance
E-banking
Retail sales and services
Branch Operations runs diversified operations in our Mainland branches and sub-branches. Services include:
Renminbi and foreign currency savings account and deposit services
Time deposit services
Corporate and retail credit administration

The Programme involves training in Hong Kong as well as in mainland China, providing trainees with a valuable opportunity to gain exposure to an international banking and financial system. The Programme is divided into two stages:
Stage One
12 months
In-house training courses on technical banking knowledge, product knowledge and management skills
On-the-job training in various departments
Assignment of work-based projects
Stage Two
3 years
Placement / job attachment to consolidate knowledge acquired in the first year
Ongoing training and development in respective business streams
