最近在網上看到一段小對話，其中有個片語覺得很有意思，所以列出來給大家講講。
Juliana: What's wrong with you, Jonas? You look a little under the weather.
Jonas: I've been under some stress lately. I have had a lot of homework. Plus, I haven't been feeling well.
（朱莉安娜： 怎么了，喬納斯？你看起來不太舒服。
喬納斯： 我最近感到有點壓力。我有很多的家庭作業(yè)。另外，我一直覺得不舒服。）
英文中under the weather不是“在天氣下”的意思哦，不過一說到不好的天氣，我們就會聯想到糟糕的心情，所以這個片語的意思是“身體不適的”。即Not feeling well; sick; ill.再看個例子：
A: What's wrong with your mom?
B: She has a cold and is feeling under the weather.
（A: 你媽媽怎么了？
B: 她感冒了，覺得不舒服.）
記得母親在世時，每當看到她消瘦的臉龐，我就心疼，可她總是說她沒病，只是感以不適而已。
She said that she wasn't sick, but just feeling under the weather.

母親就是這么偉大，現在才知道，她早已重病在身，只是不想讓遠方念書的兒子擔心罷了。

片語give someone the benefit of the doubt意思是“在事實未經證實之前認定某人是無罪的；往好處想別人”，這個片語來自運動領域。benefit of the doubt本來意思是指“ 裁判員對可疑情況無把握時不對有關運動員作不利判定?！闭驗檫@樣，許多運動員才從裁判員的這種懷疑中得到了好處（benefit）。后來，give someone the benefit of the doubt就用在了法律上，指“由于罪證不足而假定某人無罪; 對某人有所懷疑但仍作出對他有利或較寬大的決定; 在沒有相反的證據以前暫時相信他的話”
