    ignorant means lacking education or knowledge. 是無(wú)知的，愚昧的缺少教育或知識(shí)的意思。常于of 和in 連用。例如：I am quite ignorant of what his plans are. 我一點(diǎn)也不知道他的計(jì)劃是什么。我們常說(shuō)的無(wú)知的人，就是an ignorant person.
    另外，uneducated, unlearned 也有無(wú)知的意思。不同的是，uneducated 是指未受過(guò)正規(guī)系統(tǒng)教育的, 如:He was uneducated.他未受過(guò)正規(guī)教育。unlearned是指無(wú)學(xué)問(wèn)的，無(wú)文化的。例如:He was not unlearned in history.他對(duì)歷史并非無(wú)知。
    其實(shí)這句話要表達(dá)的意思非常明顯，要不，怎么說(shuō)Knowledge is infinite.學(xué)無(wú)止境呢？
