例：The respiratory tract consists of the mouth, nose, pharynx, trachea and lung. /呼吸道由口、鼻、咽、氣管和肺構(gòu)成。

2）make up; compose 表示哪些部分組成了某個結(jié)構(gòu)。

The pons, the cerebellum and the medulla oblongata composed the hindbrain. /腦橋、小腦和延髓組成了后腦。
3）be filled with 和 contain都表示某結(jié)構(gòu)內(nèi)含有什么或充滿了什么。但，前者與不可數(shù)名詞（物質(zhì)名詞）連用，而后者則與可數(shù)名詞連用。
例：The tissue space is filled with tissue fluid．/組織間隙充滿了組織液．
The mediastinum contains the heart, oesophagus, trachea, etc．/縱隔包含有心臟、食管、氣管等等。
4）be covered with … 表示某器官或結(jié)構(gòu)為……所覆蓋。
例：The body is covered with skin and hair．/人體表面覆蓋著皮膚和毛發(fā)。
5）be attached to … 表示某器官連接在或附著在另一器官上。
例：The skin is attached to the subcutaneous tissue. /皮膚連接在皮下組織上。
6）be lined with … 表示某器官由……襯貼。
例：The mediastinum is lined with the pericardium．/縱膈由心包所襯貼。
7）be divided into … 表示某結(jié)構(gòu)可分為……。
例：The thorax is divided into three compartments．/胸腔分為三個部分。
8）be surrounded by表示某器官為另一器官所圍繞。
例：The heart is surrounded by the lungs．/心臟由兩肺遮蓋。
9）be separated from … by … 表示某器官與另一器官為第三者所隔開。
