    說明︰此句型意為“有各色各樣的…”。<名詞>通常用復(fù)數(shù)。

    說明︰<主詞>2之后的 be <動詞>往往省略。

    說明︰此句型意為“…是事實(shí)，但…”。but 前后所連接的部分或<子句>意義相反或成為對比。本<句型>與 though <子句>所表現(xiàn)的意思完全相同。也可用“Indeed （that） ……， but ……”。

    說明︰用在 no one，none，nobody，nothing，all，every，以及 who，what 等疑問詞之后的 but 的含義是“除…而外”，是<連接詞>，后接的<代名詞>可用主格或受格。

    說明︰此句型意為“不是…而是…”?！皀ot …… but ……”為對等<連接詞詞組>，可連接對等的單字、<詞組>或<子句>；連接<主詞>時，<動詞>要隨最近的<主詞>做變化。

    說明︰此句型意為“…不是別人，正是…”。than 在此處并非連接<比較級>之用，而是當(dāng)“除…外”解，but與 than 相當(dāng)，也作“除外”解，后面跟強(qiáng)調(diào)的人。
    This is no other than my old friend， John. 這位不是別人，正是我的老朋友約翰。
    The young man sitting at the desk was none other than our new teacher.
    坐在辦公桌那兒的那個年輕人正是我們新來的老師。
