Thus, Yonsei University is reforming its research, education system, and supporting administration in order to lead the way in forward-thinking research and education for a changing society.Merely providing highly specialized knowledge, as was the practice in an industrial society of the past, would now be a disservice to students who will live to see the turning of a new century. Even in an age where artificial intelligence surpasses human cognitive ability, Yonsei will answer the call to foster the creative skills that can only be carried out by human beings. Yonsei is developing diverse programs to foster creativity in a “network society.” In the modern era, constant interactions of different areas of knowledge and expertise build networks that give way to entirely new forms of knowledge and perspective.For example, physicists advancing the theory and technical skills of nanotechnology are breaking barriers between pure science and applied technology. Collaboration between the humanities and natural sciences has brought about innovations that were previously unimaginable. It is therefore important that departments bridge the divides and encourage dialogue between researchers of other fields. To this end, I believe in the importance of facilitating “extelligence,” the improvement of intelligence through the coupling of otherwise estranged bright ideas. Creativity is not merely the ability to make the intangible tangible, but rather is the ability to take what already is and make something new through cognitive networking.In the future, empathy and sharing will be just as important as creative thought. Yonsei will drive the effort to address such an “empathetic society” by raising leaders who practice sharing. For in this society of the future, the pursuit of personal gains will be replaced by mutual respect and the sharing of joys and sorrows with others; society will shift away from its “survival of the fittest” mentality and look toward self-expression, and individualism will turn to collectivism. The founders of Yonsei planted the value of going beyond simply sharing material resources and capabilities by sharing leadership. 二、歷史沿革
1.概述
The history of Yonsei University began on April 10th, 1885, as Korea’s first modern hospital "Gwanghyewon." Two weeks after opening, King Kojong gave Gwanghyewon a new name - "Chejungwon." Gwanghyewon was established by a medical missionary, Horace N. Allen. Prior to opening, missionary Horace G. Underwood visited Korea, assisting in medical treatment at Chejungwon while starting his work in education and missionary activities. These two missionaries' work that is based in Chejungwon has become the foundation of Yonsei.Since then, works related to medicine were institutionalized to become what was initially the Severance Medical College and later Severance Hospital and Severance Medical School. Meanwhile, in education, what was initially known as Underwood School, Gyeongsin School, and later Yonhi College became Yonhi University. Yonhi and Severance supported the independence and modernization of Korea during Japanese colonization and at times of crises. As a university, it also bore the responsibility to democratize and modernize the country after the Korean War.

第一創(chuàng)學(xué)(1885~1956)延世大學(xué)的歷史始于1885年4月10日,即韓國最初近代式醫(yī)院“廣惠院”的誕生。廣惠院開設(shè)兩周后更名為“濟(jì)眾院”。廣惠院的創(chuàng)始人是醫(yī)療傳教士安連(H. N. 第二創(chuàng)學(xué)(1957~2009)從濟(jì)眾院開始的延禧大學(xué)與世福蘭斯醫(yī)科大學(xué),于1957年最終合并為延世大學(xué)。1962年醫(yī)科大學(xué)與世福蘭斯離開首爾站前,移至新村校區(qū)。延禧與世福蘭斯合并后,延世大學(xué)發(fā)展為一流的大學(xué)。成為韓國經(jīng)濟(jì)、政治的發(fā)展動(dòng)力,而且引導(dǎo)了大學(xué)教育與研究水平。另外,延世大學(xué)精神與學(xué)問傳統(tǒng)除了新村校區(qū)以外還扎根于原州。原州校區(qū)于1978年始于醫(yī)科大學(xué)原州分校,之后逐漸擴(kuò)大學(xué)科領(lǐng)域建構(gòu)了大學(xué)框架,并于1984年移至梅芝里發(fā)展為引導(dǎo)江原地區(qū)的大學(xué)校區(qū)。
