    If the student passed the Gaokao entrance exam and he has obtained admission to a ‘Project 211’ university, the student’s level is considered to be equivalent to the pre-university Dutch vwo diploma. Additionally we require you to have finished one year at a recognised Science University (including the required Science subjects for the specific Bachelor of Science programme of your choice).Please note that no rights can be derived from this information and the final eligibility/admissibility to the programme will always be determined by the Admission Office.

    A certified copy of your secondary school diploma (or certificates) in the original language. Is the document in a language other than English, French, German or Dutch? Then you must also upload a certified translation of your secondary school diploma (or certificates) in one of the four languages.
    A certified copy of your complete list of grades in the original language (if you are in the last year of your secondary school studies you need to upload a certified copy of your most recent list of grades in the original language). Is the document in a language other than English, French, German or Dutch? Then you must also upload a certified translation of your list of grades in one of these four languages.
    If you have already studied at a university of Science we request you to also upload a certified copy of your most recent list of grades (transcript) in addition to your secondary school diploma/certificate. Your former studies may exempt you from some modules of the Bachelor programme. However, please note that you can only apply for exemptions if you are admitted and after you have arrived in Delft.

    二、語言要求
    1.荷蘭語學(xué)士學(xué)位課程的語言要求
    A good command of the Dutch language is required for the Bachelor programmes.If you already do have some knowledge of the Dutch language you have to take a placement test. The result will indicate which level is most suitable for your purposes. The written part of the test takes 1,5 hours and will normally be followed by an interview with a teacher. To make an appointment for a placement test please go to the secretary’s office.If you don’t have any knowledge of the Dutch language you are required to take the language course offered by: TU Delft’s Centre for Languages and Academic Skills. You can start this course only in August or September (in the year before the start of your Bachelor of Science programme). You need to apply for this course before June, 1.
    Note 1: You can only start the Dutch language course or take a placement test if you received the TU Delft admission letter stating that you are (conditionally) admitted. Registration in Studielink therefore, is not sufficient.
    Note 2: Candidates for numerus clausus programmes (BSc Architecture, BSc Clinical Technology, BSc Industrial Design) already have to be proficient in Dutch when they apply. They cannot participate in the TU Delft language course.
    Note 3: An ‘NT2/II’ Dutch language certificate does not qualify for admission. If you are in possession of an NT2-II (‘National Examination’) certificate you have to follow one of the mandatory scientific language courses at the Centre for Languages and Academic Skills.
    Proficiency in English
    You are required to take one of the following language tests: the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language), the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or the University of Cambridge: ‘First Certificate in English’, Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
    The required minimum scores are:
    TOEFL 70 (internet based) or
    IELTS 5.5 (Academic version, Overall Band Score) or
    Cambridge (University of Cambridge, ‘First Certificate in English’) - Grade B
    Certificates older than two years (this is the date on which your certificate has arrived at TU Delft's Central International Office) are not accepted. As the whole process of collecting information, registering for the tests and receiving the test results may take several months, we advise you to register for the Cambridge (University Certificate of Proficiecy in English (CPE) or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), IELTS or TOEFL several months before starting your application.
    The following applicants are exempted from the English test requirement:
    Nationals from the USA, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada
    Applicants with an International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate diploma, or European secondary school diploma (pre-university certificate) considered equivalent to the Dutch pre-university education, with English as a final examination subject. Please note that a ‘pass’ (sufficient score) for English is required on your secondary school certificate.

    There are no requirements for proficiency in Dutch.

    The official TOEFL certificate. The TOEFL organisation can send the score directly to TU Delft if you provide them with the university code: 0031. For 'school type' select 'graduate schools’ and for 'department' select ‘a(chǎn)ny other department not listed'.
    You need to upload your English-language certificate or a screen print with your test results (from the test organisation’s website) which we will use to process your application. You need to bring the original certificate or a certified copy with you when coming to Delft. Please also bring this document if you have instructed the test organisation to send a certificate to TU Delft.
