Tsukuba Scholarship
筑波大學(xué)獎學(xué)金
Based on the past track record in global cooperation, the University of Tsukuba has been aiming to foster human resources who can cooperate with people around the world in the field of education and research. It has been trying to promote internationalization by accepting foreign students and sending students abroad, as part of the Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization ("Global 30") by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
基于過去在全球合作方面的成績，筑波大學(xué)致力于培育有能力與世界各地的人們進(jìn)行教研協(xié)作的人才。作為文部科學(xué)省建立國際化核心大學(xué)項目的一部分，學(xué)校一直努力通過招收國外學(xué)生和派遣學(xué)生到國外學(xué)習(xí)，來提升國際化水平。
On the other hand, an increasing number of students are facing difficulties to go on to university, affected by the worldwide economic depression.
On this account, "Tsukuba Scholarship", the scholarship system of the University of Tsukuba, has been established in 2009 to support foreign students and students of our university financially.

有鑒于此，筑波大學(xué)2009年建立了筑波大學(xué)獎學(xué)金制度——筑波獎學(xué)金，以在經(jīng)濟(jì)上幫助國外學(xué)生和本校學(xué)校。
Financial aid for the students in the English Course has been started since 2010 and financial aid for the International Undergraduate Education Program for Medical Scientists has also been started since 2012. Furthermore, since 2016, financial aid for the students in the Japan-Expert (bachelor degree) Program has been started with the support of the University of Tsukuba Fund.
英語課程學(xué)生的經(jīng)濟(jì)支援開始于2010年，醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)家國際本科教育項目的經(jīng)濟(jì)支援開始于2012年。此外，2016年以來，針對日本專家(學(xué)士學(xué)位)項目學(xué)生的經(jīng)濟(jì)支援也已經(jīng)啟動，基金提供方為筑波大學(xué)基金會。
1. Scholarship for International Students
國際學(xué)生獎學(xué)金
Scholarship for International Students
1) Purpose: It is expected the number of privately financed foreign students will increase as a consequence of the "Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization" (G30 Program). We aim to support them financially after they enter the university.
2) Eligibility: Foreign students of excellent caliber enrolled in the University of Tsukuba, with excellent academic performance and not receiving any other scholarship (excluding students on a leave of absence)
3) Scholarship Amount: Undergraduate Students 60,000 yen/month; Graduate Students 80,000 yen/month
4) Duration of Scholarship: Until the end of the academic year of acceptance (for a maximum of 12 months)
5) Application Procedure: Submit the prescribed application form of the university-recommended scholarships directed for privately financed foreign students, in late-June to early-July. (Non-direct application)
國際學(xué)生獎學(xué)金
1)目的：學(xué)校期望在建立國際化核心大學(xué)項目的支持下，私人提供資金的學(xué)生的數(shù)量將增加。獎學(xué)金的目標(biāo)是在國際學(xué)生入學(xué)之后為他們提供經(jīng)濟(jì)上的幫助。
2)資格條件：注冊筑波大學(xué)的成績優(yōu)秀的國外學(xué)生，必須有優(yōu)秀的學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)，不能同時享受其他獎學(xué)金(休假學(xué)生除外)
3)獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：本科生每月60,000日元，研究生每月80,000 日元
4) 獎學(xué)金期限：直到錄取學(xué)年結(jié)束(不超過12個月)
5)申請程序：提交規(guī)定的大學(xué)推薦獎學(xué)金申請表，該表適用于私人提供資金的國外學(xué)生，在六月下旬到七月上旬期間提交。(不接受直接申請)
Support for International Students Enrolled in Undergraduate English Course Programs (Admission year only)
1) Purpose: To provide financial support to the foreign students who are enrolled in the Undergraduate English Course Program under the "Global 30" Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization.
2) Application Qualification: Newly enrolled foreign students in the Undergraduate English Course Programs, with excellent caliber and entrance results, and not receiving any other scholarship at the time of selection (excluding currently enrolled international students).
3) Scholarship Amount: Based on the entrance results, performance etc., either one of the following amount will be awarded.
Scholarship Amount ：60,000 yen as monthly scholarship
* Apart from the above scholarship, admission fee and tuition for the applicable academic year will not be charged for all successful candidates.
4) Duration of Scholarship: From the month of admission to the end of that academic year (for a maximum of 7 months)
5) Application Procedure: An application form for the scholarship is supposed to reach the applicants for the English Course, from the University of Tsukuba. Students seeking to receive the scholarship are required to submit the prescribed application form during the application period, in accordance with the application guide for the Undergraduate-Education Program (English Program).
注冊本科英語課程的國際學(xué)生的支助(僅第一學(xué)年)
1) 目的：在建立國際化核心大學(xué)項目的支持下，為注冊本科英語課程的國外學(xué)生提供經(jīng)濟(jì)幫助

3)獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：依據(jù)入學(xué)成績、表現(xiàn)等，發(fā)放以下數(shù)額。
獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：每月60,000 日元
*除了以上獎學(xué)金，申請成功的候選人將不用交適用學(xué)年的招生費(fèi)和學(xué)費(fèi)。
4)獎學(xué)金期限：從入學(xué)當(dāng)月到同年學(xué)年結(jié)束(不超過七個月)
5)申請程序：先由筑波大學(xué)向?qū)W習(xí)英語課程的申請人提供獎學(xué)金申請表。申請獎學(xué)金的學(xué)生需要按照本科教育項目(英語項目)的申請指南，在申請期間提交規(guī)定的申請表。
Support for International Students in Undergraduate English Course Programs (Next year of admission year and after)
1) Purpose: To support the foreign students who are in the Undergraduate English Course Program under the "Global 30" Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization.
2) Application Qualification: Foreign students enrolled in the Undergraduate English Course Program (at the next and the 3rd year of their entrance year) with excellent academic performance, economically distressed, receiving no scholarship at the time of selection, and having recommendation of one's School Provost.
3) Scholarship Amount: 60,000 yen / month
In addition, Tuition Fee will be exempted for the students who are in the 2nd year from their entrance year, who have excellent academic performance, economically distressed, receiving no scholarship at the time of selection, and having recommendation of one's School Provost can be exempted for their tuition fee. (submission of the application form will be needed)
4) Duration of Scholarship: Until the end of the academic year you are accepted (for a maximum of 12 months)
5) Application Procedure: To submit the prescribed application form during the application period in accordance with Scholarships for Self-Supporting International Students Application Guide.
注冊本科英語課程的國際學(xué)生的支助(第二學(xué)年及接下來的學(xué)年)
1) 目的：在建立國際化核心大學(xué)項目的支持下，為注冊本科英語課程的國外學(xué)生提供經(jīng)濟(jì)幫助
2)申請資格：注冊本科英語課程(入學(xué)年的第二和第三年課程)的國外學(xué)生，需要有優(yōu)秀的學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)、經(jīng)濟(jì)相對困難，在篩選期間不能享受其他獎學(xué)金，并且要得到學(xué)生所在學(xué)院教務(wù)長的推薦
3) 獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：每月 60,000 日元

Support for International Students in the Japan-Expert (bachelor degree) Program
1) Purpose: To support the foreign students planning to enter or being in the Japan-Expert (bachelor degree) program which has been established under the Super Global University Project.
2) Application Qualification: Non-Japanese students enrolled in the Japan-Expert (bachelor degree)
Program with excellent academic performance, excellent personal quality, economic distress, receiving no scholarship at the time of selection, and having recommendation of one's School Provost.
3) Scholarship Amount: 50,000 yen / month
In addition, Tuition Fee will be exempted for the students who have excellent academic performance and economic distress (submission of the application form will be needed).
4) Duration of Scholarship: Until the end of the academic year you are accepted (for a maximum of 12 months) .However, the payment of last Tsukuba Scholarship will be until March of your third grade.
5) Application Procedure: To submit the prescribed application form during the application period
日本專家(學(xué)士學(xué)位)項目國際學(xué)生支助
1) 目的：在全球頂尖大學(xué)項目的支持下，為計劃進(jìn)入或已經(jīng)注冊日本專家學(xué)士學(xué)位項目的國外學(xué)生提供幫助
2)申請資格：注冊日本專家學(xué)士學(xué)位的非日本學(xué)生;需要有優(yōu)秀的學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)、優(yōu)秀的個人素質(zhì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)相對困難;在篩選期間不能享受其他獎學(xué)金，并且要得到學(xué)生所在學(xué)院教務(wù)長的推薦
3) 獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：每月50,000 日元
此外，對于學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)優(yōu)秀、經(jīng)濟(jì)相對困難的學(xué)生，可以享受學(xué)費(fèi)減免(需要提交申請表)。
4) 獎學(xué)金期限：直到錄取學(xué)年結(jié)束(不超過12個月)。不過，最終的筑波獎學(xué)支付要到你大三的三月份。
5)申請程序：在申請期間提交規(guī)定的申請表。
IMAGAWA FUTURE FUND SCHOLARSHIP: Support for International Students in the Healthcare Course
1) Purpose: To support the foreign students planning to enter or being in the Healthcare Course of the Japan-Expert (bachelor degree) program.
2) Application Qualification: Non-Japanese students, whose nationality is of a country in the region of East or Southeast Asia excluding China and Korea, enrolled in the Healthcare Course with excellent academic performance, excellent personal quality, economic distress, receiving no scholarship at the time of selection, and having recommendation of one's School Provost.
3) Scholarship Amount: 80,000 yen / month and additional 50,000 yen (only one time) to cover preparation cost only for the first year.
4) Duration of Scholarship: For the shortest years required to complete the course from first month of entering the university.
5) Application Procedure: To submit the prescribed application form during the application period.
IMAGAWA未來基金獎學(xué)金：支助學(xué)習(xí)醫(yī)療課程的國際學(xué)生
1) 目的：為計劃進(jìn)入或已經(jīng)進(jìn)入日本專家學(xué)士學(xué)位項目醫(yī)療課程的國外學(xué)生提供幫助
2)申請資格：非日本學(xué)生、為東亞或東南亞國家國籍(中國和韓國除外);注冊醫(yī)療課程。學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)優(yōu)秀，個人素質(zhì)優(yōu)秀，經(jīng)濟(jì)相對困難;在篩選期間不能享受其他獎學(xué)金，并且得到所在學(xué)院教務(wù)長的推薦
3) 獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：每月80,000 日元和額外的50,000 日元(一次性);僅涵蓋第一學(xué)年的準(zhǔn)備成本。
4) 獎學(xué)金期限：從入學(xué)的第一個月算起，到完成課程所需的最短時間這段時間
5) 申請程序：在申請期間提交規(guī)定的申請表。
2. Support for Overseas Studies of Japanese Students
日本學(xué)生海外學(xué)習(xí)支助
Support for Japanese Exchange Students (Enrolled at Overseas Universities)
1) Purpose: In this rapidly globalizing society, it is getting more important to foster students who can contribute globally with international sense of values. We promote international exchanges by providing financial support for the university students who aim to study in the partner universities abroad.
2) Application Qualification: Students who will study abroad for at least a period of six months and at most up to one year, at an overseas university having an exchange agreement with our university. They must not be receiving support from any other scholarship (status during the period is limited to "study abroad").
3) Scholarship Amount: 60,000 - 100,000 yen/month
4) Duration of Scholarship: Period of study at the overseas university (maximum of 12 months)
5) Application Procedure: Applications are accepted twice a year (1: December-January, 2: April-May). Submit the prescribed application form during the application period.
注冊海外大學(xué)的日本交換生支助
1) 目的：在全球化迅速推進(jìn)的社會，培養(yǎng)具有國際價值意識、能做出全球性貢獻(xiàn)的學(xué)生變得越來越重要。學(xué)校為有意到筑波大學(xué)海外合作大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的本科學(xué)生提供經(jīng)濟(jì)支助，以此促進(jìn)國際交換。
2)申請資格：海外學(xué)習(xí)時間不少于六個月、不超過一年;所在海外大學(xué)與筑波大學(xué)有交換協(xié)議。學(xué)生不能享受其他任何獎學(xué)金(海外學(xué)習(xí)期間的學(xué)生狀態(tài)必須為“海外學(xué)習(xí)”)。
3) 獎學(xué)金數(shù)額：每月60,000 日元到100,000 日元
4) 獎學(xué)金期限：海外學(xué)習(xí)期間(不超過12個月)
5) 申請程序：一年可以申請兩次(第一次：12月到1月;第二次：4月到5月)。在申請期間提交規(guī)定的申請表。
3. Support for students in the International Undergraduate Education Program for Medical Scientists
醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)家國際本科教育項目學(xué)生支助
1) Purpose: To provide financial aid for the students who are taking the "International Undergraduate Education Program for Medical Scientists" in the School of Medicine, School of Medicine and Medical Sciences, or taking medical courses in the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences, aiming to be a fundamental researcher.
2) Application Qualification: Students taking the "International Undergraduate Education Program for Medical Scientists" of the School of Medicine, School of Medicine and Medical Sciences, or students taking medical courses in the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences
3) Scholarship Amount:
(Undergraduates): 50,000 yen / month (for a maximum of 12 months)
(Graduates): 80,000 yen / month (for a maximum of 4 years)
4) Application Procedure: Submit the prescribed application form during the application period

4. Financial Support in Case of Emergency
緊急情況經(jīng)濟(jì)支助
1) Purpose: To support students who are in need of financial support due to loss of employment of their school fee guarantor, etc., resulting in deterioration of their study environment. We aim to improve the study environment of such students by actively providing them with financial support. It will be provided with the support of the University of Tsukuba Fund "TSUKUBA FUTURESHIP"
2) Application Qualification: Regular students of undergraduate and graduate school facing financial difficulties due to their guarantor's death or loss of job caused by unforeseen circumstances (annual income must satisfy conditions for half tuition exemption).
3) Scholarship Amount: 200,000 yen regardless of reason (limited to one time per individual.)

Call for Additional Recruitment in April for Applicants for AY2017-18 Scholarships for Privately-Financed International Students
筑波大學(xué)4月額外錄?。横槍ι暾?017-18學(xué)年獎學(xué)金的由私人提供資金的國際學(xué)生
Eligibility: Privately-financed international students holding a status of residence of "Student" and satisfying either one of the following conditions (A) or (B).
A) Degree students or non-degree research students enrolled from August 2016 to April 2017
B) Degree students who could not apply in July 2016 because of a leave of absence from school ("kyugaku") at the time of application and who have been re-enrolling by April 2017.
資格條件：由私人提供資金的國際學(xué)生;居住身份為“學(xué)生”，且滿足以下任意條件。
A)注冊期限為2016年8月至2017年4月的學(xué)位學(xué)生或非學(xué)位研究型學(xué)生;

1)Students who will be taking a temporary leave of absence from the university in AY2017-18

Self-supporting students can apply for a scholarship through university recommendation only once a year.

1. Students who wish to receive this type of scholarship and who meet all the requirements should complete the prescribed application form in July (see Note 6) and submit it within the specified time limit to the dean of the educational organization (college/graduate course) they are enrolled in.
2. The application will be examined by the respective educational organization and, if accepted, it will be given a recommendation ranking and will be recommended further to the President of the university.
3. Upon receiving application announcements from the various scholarship foundations, a selection committee selects students for recommendation among the candidates nominated by each educational organization of the university according to the ranking received by such students.
4. Selected candidates will be informed about the procedure required in order to submit their applications to the respective scholarship foundations by the president of the university through the dean of their educational orginization.
5. The selected candidates will then submit all the required documents, through the dean of their educational organization, to the President of the university.
6. The President of the university will recommend the selected candidates to the scholarship foundations.
1.有意申請這類獎學(xué)金且滿足所有要求的學(xué)生，需要在7月完成規(guī)定的申請表，并在規(guī)定時間內(nèi)提交至注冊的學(xué)院的教務(wù)長處。
2.由各個學(xué)院負(fù)責(zé)審核;對于被接受的申請，將會給出一個推薦排名，向校長進(jìn)一步推薦。
3.收到各個獎學(xué)金基金會的申請公告之后，篩選委員會將根據(jù)學(xué)生排名，對筑波大學(xué)各個學(xué)院提名的候選人進(jìn)行篩選，選出用于推薦的學(xué)生。
4.選定的候選人將被告知相關(guān)程序，以便向各個獎學(xué)金基金會提交自己的申請(通過學(xué)院教務(wù)長何為校長提交)。
5.然后，選定的候選人通過學(xué)院教務(wù)長，將所需文件提交給校長。
6.校長向獎學(xué)金基金會推薦選定的候選人。
Note 1: Please check the requirements for the applications as noted in the annual “Recruitment Requirements” materials distributed by the Division of Student Exchange.
Note 2: Applicants cannot simultaneously receive two scholarships based on university recommendation.
Note 3: Not all candidates recommended by the university will be accepted by the scholarship foundations.
Note 4: Not all applicants will be recommended to a scholarship foundation; therefore, students are advised to simultaneously apply for a scholarship through direct application as well. (Please also note that, if you receive a scholarship through direct application, you are ineligible for any scholarships through recommendation from the university, as you cannot simultaneously receive two scholarships.)
Note 5: Only candidates who have been selected for recommendation will be notified.
Note 6: An additional recruitment for scholarship applications is organized the following year in April, for degree-students or non-degree research students who enrolled from August 2016 to April 2017. Students who have already applied at our university at the time of the July recruitment cannot apply during this additional recruitment. (Students who were not able to apply due to a leave of absence from the university, but who will re-enroll the following academic year, may apply.)
