    Candidates with other degrees may be considered, provided that they have a strong background in the above-mentioned subjects. Please note that Ecole Polytechnique is ranked in the world's Top20 in Mathematics, therefore the level in Mathematics is particularly high in all academic programs. Do not hesitate to indicate in your personal statement all the relevant courses that you have followed (including courses in Mathematics).
    The admission committee will assess the relevance and quality of the bachelor's degree. The Graduate Point Average (GPA), the individual grades for the courses, class rank and any academic awards will also be taken into account.

    The admission committee will assess the relevance and quality of the degree. The Graduate Point Average (GPA), the individual grades for the courses, class rank and any academic awards will also be taken into account.

    二、Language Requirements

    (1)English Language requirements
    Applicants must demonstrate full English-language proficiency. The tests that we accept are the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL ibt) and the following Cambridge General English Tests: First (FCE), Advanced (CAE) and Proficiency (CPE).
    The minimum scores required are:
    TOEFL IBT................................................. 90
    IELTS.......................................................... 6.5
    Cambridge Test - First (FCE)............. Grade B - 176
    Scores must date no earlier than two years prior to the start of the program.
    You must upload a copy of your IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge Tests results in the online application system. Do not send your scores electronically through ETS or the British Council.
    You can submit your application without your English language test result. However, please note that any offer will be conditional on your providing your English language test results at the required level.
    Applicants may be exempt from this requirement under the following circumstances: you hold an English-taught degree completed in residence (for at least 2 years) in an English-speaking country* (e.g. secondary school diploma, bachelor's degree, two-year master's degree...). The admission committee reserves the right to refuse exemption requests and will definitely confirm the decision upon admission.

    沒有拿到英語語言考試成績，也可以提交申請。但是請注意，對于根據(jù)要求的水平提交的英語語言考試成績，學校只提供有條件錄取。
    如果申請人符合以下情況，可以免除上述要求：持有的學位屬于英語授課學位、完成學位的地方屬于說英語的國家、居住時間不能少于2年。也就是說，持有上述國家的中學文憑、學士學位或兩年制的碩士學位。招生委員會有權拒絕豁免請求，有權做出明確的錄取決定。
    (2)French Language requirements
    No level of French is required to be admitted in the Graduate Degree Programs.
    Although you do not need to speak French in order to complete the graduate degree, we believe that some basic French language skills are necessary to facilitate your everyday life in France.
    Therefore, please note that if your mother tongue is not French or if you have never been enrolled in an academic program entirely taught in French (for at least one year), you will be tested by our Language department upon your arrival and depending on the results, you may be requested to enrol in an introductory French Language course and as part of the degree requirements.
    Students who have already studied French as a Foreign Language may also attend B1/B2/C1 level classes: a good command of French language will indeed increase your employability in France upon graduation.
    No additional fees are charged for language courses.
    (2)法語語言要求

    雖然不說法語也可以完成研究生學位，但是學校相信，具備某些基本的法語語言知識，可以為你在法國的日常生活提供便利。

    對于從來沒有學習過法語的學生，也需要學習 B1/B2/C1 級課程：畢竟掌握良好的法語可以增加你在畢業(yè)之后再法國的就業(yè)機會。

    三、Procedure & Deadlines

    Start early as possible as it may take time to gather all supporting documents necessary to your application.
    1. Follow the steps below
    > Create an account on our application website. Please use the same email address for your application and any enquiries to us. You can complete the application process in multiple sessions and in any order you choose.
    > Fill in the online application form. (Printed copies of the application form are not available.)
    > Upload all the required documents. You do not need to send us any paper copies.
    Once you submit an application, you will not be able to access the online form again. If you see a mistake or wish to provide updated information or any additional documents, please contact us directly.

    2. List of supporting documents required
    No paper copies are needed for the admission review process. If you are admitted, you may be required to submit official or certified hard copies before the start of the program. Supporting documents include:
    > Scanned copies of transcripts of all previous post-secondary education (including exchange programmes and programmes you did not complete)
    > Official document or letter from your university explaining the grading and ranking system
    > For completed programs: scanned copies of degrees
    > For programs still in progress: certificate of enrolment by your home university stating the title of the expected degree and date of completion. This document must prove that you are at least in your final year of undergraduate studies.
    > Personal Statement. Minimum: approx. 700 words, in French or English. Please use the form provided in the online application system.
    Contact details for two referees (Names, positions & emails). A letter of recommendation form will be sent directly to them. It is your responsibility to tell your referees about the deadline and make sure they fill out the form in time. Therefore we advise you to start your application by confirming your referees’ contact details. You must have at least one reference from a professor/lecturer/academic supervisor at your current institution. Your second recommender may be a manager or company supervisor (from an internship/previous or current job). Letters of recommendation sent by the applicants themselves will not be accepted.
    > CV or resume, without any biographical gaps, maximum: 2 pages, in French or English ; Please include your extracurricular activities, awards and honors (both academic and extracurricular), work experience, community service, etc.
    > Copy of passport (or ID card for European students)
    > Copy of TOEFL/IELTS (taken less than 2 years before)
    Please note that:
    - GRE scores are not required. However, applicants who have already taken the exam for other universities may submit unofficial copies.
    - All documents must be submitted in French or English. For any document not originally written in French or English, you must enclosed the original version along with a translation either from your home university or from a recognized official translation agency or professional translator with their seal of authenticity and accuracy. Personal translations will not be accepted.

    請注意：
    a.不要求GRE成績。但是，已經參加其他大學的考試的申請人，可以提交非官方的復印件;

    3. Application fee
    The application processing fee for graduate degree programs is 80 euros (approx. 90 US dollars). You can pay by credit card or through an electronic bank transfer. Please note that this fee is non-refundable, even if an application is denied.
