加拿大博士后的申請(qǐng)程序非常復(fù)雜，有很多的資料需要準(zhǔn)備，當(dāng)然，如果能過(guò)順利申請(qǐng)到加拿大的博士后簽證，不僅對(duì)找工作十分的有利，更多的是，很多人通過(guò)博士后簽證獲取了移民的資格。
    加拿大博士后申請(qǐng)
    加拿大于1949年開(kāi)始招收第一位博士后研究人員，是由國(guó)家科學(xué)研究理事會(huì)(NRC)招錄并在它自己的實(shí)驗(yàn)室里從事博士后研究工作。當(dāng)時(shí)提出博士后計(jì)劃的主要目的，是引進(jìn)世界各地優(yōu)秀科研人才，加強(qiáng)NRC的研究工作。博士后計(jì)劃在NRC實(shí)行后，很快在大學(xué)里也開(kāi)始實(shí)行，大學(xué)的博士后經(jīng)費(fèi)亦由NRC撥給。這樣，博士后計(jì)劃的目的從僅僅為加強(qiáng)NRC的研究工作轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橥瑫r(shí)為了提高大學(xué)的教學(xué)水平和研究能力。與此同時(shí)，博士后研究人員從引進(jìn)國(guó)外高級(jí)研究人員為主轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)殇浻眉幽么蟊緡?guó)的博士為主。在加拿大，對(duì)博士
    后研究沒(méi)有明文正式法規(guī)，有些人認(rèn)為還沒(méi)有形成一種制度。但也有人認(rèn)為，這個(gè)事物已經(jīng)得到政府部門(mén)，高等學(xué)校和研究單位的承認(rèn)，并普遍在實(shí)行著，又形成了—套大同小異的習(xí)慣做法，可以稱(chēng)為是一種制度。 在加拿大的不同單位里，雖然對(duì)博士后研究人員的解釋是不同的，但有一點(diǎn)是相同的，即從事博士后研究的人都必須獲得博士學(xué)位。—般來(lái)講，博士后研究人員有年齡和工作期限的限制，而助理教授和研究助理沒(méi)有年齡和工作年限的限制。 1978年以后，由于博士后的待遇低(2.3萬(wàn)加元/人年)，時(shí)間短(27個(gè)月)，完不成工程研究項(xiàng)目，缺乏吸引力，因此，NRC取消了博士后計(jì)劃，改為副研究員制度，或稱(chēng)政府科研機(jī)構(gòu)的訪(fǎng)問(wèn)學(xué)者制度。這些人屬NRC的雇員，但不是永久式職工，比博士后要高，工作期限為二年，期滿(mǎn)還可延長(zhǎng)一年，但最長(zhǎng)不超過(guò)五年。這種辦法很有吸引力，每年招錄50人，卻有一千多人申請(qǐng)。 NRC取消博士后研究計(jì)劃后，就不再向各大學(xué)撥博士后經(jīng)費(fèi)。目前大學(xué)的博士后經(jīng)費(fèi)主要來(lái)自：(1)加拿大自然科學(xué)與工程技術(shù)研究理事會(huì)(NSERC);(2)加拿大醫(yī)學(xué)研究理事會(huì)(SSHRC);(3)社會(huì)科學(xué)與人文科學(xué)研究理事會(huì)(HRC)。 以NSERC為例，博士后研究人員可由兩種渠道獲得資助。一是由博士后直接向NSERC申請(qǐng)，每年獲準(zhǔn)者約有200人。他們可以到任何單位(包括國(guó)外的)去從事博士后研究工作。二是由教授向NSERC申請(qǐng)研究項(xiàng)目資助金，其中包括錄用博士后的費(fèi)用。被錄用的博士后要在教授的實(shí)驗(yàn)室里從事該項(xiàng)目的研究工作。直接向NSERC申請(qǐng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的博士后，工作期限為一年，但期滿(mǎn)后可續(xù)一年，總計(jì)也是兩年。

    Two (2) identical photos, colour or black and white taken against a plain white or light coloured background within the last 6 months. The frame size is 35mm X 45mm. On the back of one photo in each set, write the name in pinyin and date of birth (day/month/year) of the person appearing in the photo.

    The Labour Market Opinion provided by HRSDC OR Documentation explaining that applicant is applying to a Labour Market Opinion exempt occupation, specifying which exemption applicant  is applying under OR an occupation that permits him/her to apply concurrently for a Labour market Opinion and a Work Permit.

    An original letter of employment from applicant’s current employer in China granting leave of absence, and including the following information: applicant’s name, position and current salary. This letter must include employer’s name and address in Chinese characters as well as telephone and fax number.
