    SCHOLARSHIPS
    The Faculty and the University of Toronto offer numerous admission scholarships awarded on the basis of academic excellence and, in some cases, financial need. Applicants to first year are automatically considered for Faculty as well as Departmental scholarships, and typically scholarships have a maximum value of $7,500. Students awarded scholarships are typically notified in their offer of admission, however they may be awarded at a later time. Students who are admitted directly from an Ontario high school may receive a scholarship offer in May. The vast majority of scholarships are for one year of study. After first year, students are eligible for a variety of academic-based "in-course" scholarships based on the previous years' achievements. These scholarships have been established through the generosity of our alumni and friends of the Faculty.
