    周圍環(huán)境：Tech校園并不是很大，位于亞特蘭大的中城(Midtown)地段。
    Tech校園的北邊界是十街(10thStreet)。美國的城鎮(zhèn)，常有從市中心不遠處開始，往南或北按順序編號來命名街道的習慣。Tech校園的南邊界是NorthAve.，差不多相當于1stStreet，往北依序是3rdSt.，4thSt.，等等直到10thSt.，就是Tech校園的北邊界了。當然，十街再往北也還有一些房產(chǎn)屬于Tech，但為數(shù)不多。
    亞特蘭大是可口可樂的故鄉(xiāng)，也是CNN的故鄉(xiāng)，《飄》的故鄉(xiāng)，馬丁•路德•金的故鄉(xiāng)。這些都是亞特蘭大人引以為傲的、舉世皆知的人和物?？煽诳蓸房偛磕亲鶚蔷驮贕T隔壁，只隔了一條街。不過那地方并不歡迎游客。在市中心(Downtown)另有一個可口可樂世界(WorldofCoca-Cola)是供游客游玩的地方。不過市中心說起來也不遠，從Tech校園南端出發(fā)，向南步行最多半個小時就到了。在校園里開闊地帶一抬頭就能看到的，除了可口可樂總部以外，還有南方貝爾(BellSouth)總部，以及其它一些高樓。美國的財富500大公司(Fortune500)里頭，有12個總部在亞特蘭大。亞特蘭大在這一指標上僅次于紐約、休斯敦而位于全美第三。亞特蘭大是全美最繁忙的航空港。在Tech校園里抬起頭在天上掃視一圈，能見度好的話任何時候都能看到三架以上的飛機。當然，因為CNN總部離Tech校園不遠，它的直升機在我們頭頂上轟鳴而過也不是很稀奇的事...
