    when she looked out of the window at midnight, mrs.wilson saw a man trying to open mr. smith's window. mrs.wilson thought it must be a thief. she took a stick as quickly as possible, ran into the garden and hit the man on the head.
    the next morning she went to knock at mr. smith's door. he opened the door and saw mrs. wilson standing outside. "someone hit me when i was trying to open the window of my room. i left my key in my room, and i didn't want to wake my wife up." mrs.wilson didn't know what to say when she heard this.
    mrs. wilson was thirsty, so she got up to have water. it was bright and quiet at night. she looked out of the window. the moon broke out from behind some clouds, lighting up the whole garden. suddenly, she saw a man opening mr. smith's window.she thought it was a thief. without thinking she took a stick out and walked into the garden quietly. before the man found her,she hit him on his head. "ouch!" mrs. wilson heard the voice of mr. smith. it was mr. smith.
    mr. smith didn't take the key with him, so he wanted to get into the room through the window in order not to wake up his wife.
