本文曾獲得北京電視臺、國家教育部舉辦的 My teacher 英語演講比賽優(yōu)勝獎。在以“我的老師”為主題的演講會上，這篇演講出人意料地將計算機稱作自己的老師，以吸引聽眾的注意。然后又用事實與推理證明計算機確實是一個“老師”，從而贏得了聽眾的共鳴。某些語言上的不足之處點評修改如下：
    (1)在every后，territory用復數(shù)，顯然是錯誤的。另外，表示“各個領域”，用field為好。
    (2)原文時態(tài)用錯了。
    (3)concept是可數(shù)名詞。make后的賓語補語如果是不定式的話，要省略to。另外，一般不用被動不定式，而只用過去分詞。deeply也有中國式英語之嫌。
    (4)help sb. (to)do，不用 doing。
    Ladies and gentlemen,
    I have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my study. For their help I will never forget them. But today I am going to talk about a special teacher of mine. This teacher is not a human being and its name is“Computer”. It has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and I appreciate it very much.
