2003年高考考生普遍感到聽力試題比較容易，與2002年聽力形成巨大反差。與去年相比，2003年高考聽力試題呈現(xiàn)出以下幾個特點(diǎn)：
    一、選材方面
    1.話題較多普遍性，較少特定性，今年出現(xiàn)了諸如"問路、請求開窗、問詢電話號碼、同學(xué)重逢"等較為具有普遍性的話題，學(xué)生比較熟悉;而去年的話題"作家用電腦寫作，山中野營"等具有較多的特定性，較少普遍性，學(xué)生感到比較困難。
    2.專有名詞少，去年出現(xiàn)了24個，今年只有12個，而且學(xué)生比較熟悉，例如，Mark,Daily Mirror,Mike，Birmingham等。
    二、聲音方面
    1.語速慢，去年為172wpm,今年為138wpm。
    2.語音清晰標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，女士口音為比較清晰標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的英音，而去年是北美口音，學(xué)生反映很難聽懂。
    三、試題設(shè)計(jì)方面
    在試題設(shè)計(jì)上，今年較多具體信息題，較少推斷題。
    下面我們對2003年高考聽力試題做具體分析。
    1.What is the man going to do?
    A.Open the window.
    B.Find another room.
    C.Go out with the woman.
    【分析】本題考查對所聽對話中談話者意圖的理解和把握。
    對話中man提到"Excuse me,but it's a bit hot in here.Is it OK if I open the window?"對照題目很容易可以選出答案A。
    2.What do we know about Peter Schmidt?
    A.He has lost his ticket.
    B.He is expecting a ticket.
    C.He went out to buy a ticket.
    【分析】本題考查對所聽對話背景做出簡單推斷的能力。
    此題對話有兩個輪次，問題中所提到的Peter Schmidt已經(jīng)出門，從說話人留下的口信This is Global Travel. Could you tell him his ticket's ready?來看，Peter Schmidt is expecting a ticket.所以答案應(yīng)為B。
    3.What do we know about mother and son?
    A.She wants to tell him the results of the game.
    B.She doesn't like him to watch TV.
    C.She knows which team he supports.
    【分析】本題考查對所聽對話中談話者的態(tài)度進(jìn)行揣測的能力。
    兒子看球賽的錄像，不想提前知道結(jié)果，因?yàn)槟菢涌辞蛸惥蜎]意思了，央求母親不要告訴他結(jié)果，母親回答了一句OK，but you're not going to like it.從中我們可以推測出來這位母親知道她兒子支持哪個隊(duì)。所以答案選C。
    4.What are the speakers talking about?
    A.Exam results.
    B.Time for the exam.
    C.Change of class hours.
    【分析】本題考查對所聽對話主旨大意的掌握理解情況。
    對話句句不離exam，尤其是第一句Right class. There're some changes to your exam timetable.這句話猶如文章中的主題句，從這句話可以斷定答案B。
    5.What will the woman tell the man?
    A.Her company's name.
    B.Her new address.
    C.Her phone number.
    【分析】本題考查從所聽對話中獲取具體信息的能力。
    對話中女士說That's right.By the way,my office number has changed since I began to work at Morrison，其中office number即為辦公室電話號碼。由此，我們可以斷定答案是C。
    第6、7小題基于同一段對話材料(Text 6)。
