    辨析country，nation，state和land
    這四個(gè)詞在作“國(guó)家”解時(shí)是近義詞，但側(cè)重點(diǎn)不同。country側(cè)重版圖、疆域，意為“國(guó)家;國(guó)土”。nation側(cè)重人民、國(guó)民、民族，意為“民族;國(guó)家”。state側(cè)重政權(quán)、政體，意為“國(guó)家;政府”。land意為“國(guó)土;國(guó)家”，帶有感情色彩，多用于文學(xué)作品中。

    live常用作不及物動(dòng)詞，表示“居住”意思。如果問Where do you live? 主要是問你“居住和生活”的地方，往往與home有關(guān)。如：She lives about ten miles from my house. 她的住所離我家大約有十英里遠(yuǎn)。如果要表示“在旅館或朋友家暫住幾天”，應(yīng)用stay，不能用live。如：Where will you stay while you are in London? 在倫敦時(shí)你將住在哪兒?
    除非用以表示臨時(shí)居住，或強(qiáng)調(diào)現(xiàn)在居住，通常live不用進(jìn)行時(shí)形式，如：He's living in Beijing now, but will move to Wuhan soon. 他現(xiàn)在住在北京，但很快就要到武漢了。
    live還可以用作及物動(dòng)詞，表示“過……的生活”，如：He is living a happy life. 他過著幸福的生活。這句話也可以說He is living happily.

    注意：“說、講某種語(yǔ)言”要用動(dòng)詞speak，后面只用某種語(yǔ)言的具體名稱即可，不必再加language。如：I speak English. 我會(huì)說英語(yǔ)。而不說：I speak English language.
